Position: Assistant Chief Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in the overall management of the Engineering department and all maintenance operations.
  • Oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and technical support across all areas of the resort, including guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Skilled in several areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping maintenance.
  • Develop maintenance budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, and long-range planning for the Nusa Dua property.
  • Delegate tasks and lead the engineering team, ensuring motivation, development, and timely accomplishment of goals.
  • Ensure compliance with security safety programs and labor relations procedures for the technical team.
  • Manage and execute work effectively under strict time constraints and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or college courses considered helpful, preferably in an engineering related field.
  • Vocational schooling, certification and/or proven experience in building related fields in 1 or more of the following core areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
  • 1 year of hands-on experience at a comparable location/industry in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skilled in several areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
  • Thorough knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
